Now Featuring Over
20,200 Events!!
**NEWS**
For over 37 years I have
been recording and trading games/events and listing them on this website. Over
those years, the format has not changed very much. But in many cases, due
to the quantity of events, it has become cumbersome to browse.
To improve this, I have
begun to reorganize the information on my pages in a much more user friendly
format. The goal is to make it easier for everyone, myself included, to
easily find events on each subject page.
As I
get new material in, I am starting to put the month and year I received it,
making it easier for you to find new items I have received. It will also
help me know when to remove the NEW tag. I will remove it approximately 12
months after receiving it.
I have redone the NBA
page and now every game is listed on a separate line. I am currently
working on the MLB page. Every playoff game will have a separate listing
and will have the score listed. As I record new events, or receive them in
trade, I will be adding the score of the game Down the road I will go back
and add scores to events as time allows.
This project will be lengthy
to complete. However the end result will ensure a much more pleasant
experience when viewing information here at The Sports Archive!
Hello...Thanks for stopping by "The Sports
Archive". You have found one of the greatest places on the
"Net" to trade for those games you never got to see or just want
to watch again and again. My collection includes numerous events with
the Green Bay Packers, Indiana
Hoosiers Basketball, Notre Dame Football, NCAA Basketball, NFL
Playoffs, Super Bowls, NBA Playoffs, MLB Playoffs comprising
the majority.
Click on my "SEARCH" button below to view the
different categories. If you see something you like, email me your list of
available material and hopefully we can work out a trade. Items I am
looking for would include any Packer games, Indiana basketball, NFL
Play-offs, Notre Dame football, MLB Playoffs, NBA Playoffs, and other
memorable events not already on my list. My interests are
"well-rounded" so if you have something you think I might have
interest in, send your list. I may find something I can use! If you have
nothing to trade let me know and I'm sure we can still work out a trade
using blank media.
TRADING RULES
When trading DVDs there are a few simple courtesies to follow
to ensure your trade is successful. They are:
***Always record in XP or SP speed whenever possible. It is
advisable to split events longer than 2:00 into a multi-disc sets. This
helps preserve the quality.
***Be honest on quality. Nothing ruins a trading partner more
than sending less than expected quality.
***NEVER send games that are rebroadcasts unless you have
notified me ahead of time and I agree. I collect ORIGINAL broadcasts. Many noobies are mixing rebroadcasts with their complete
lists and it is very frustrating to those of us that have worked long and
hard to accumulate these historic events.
***Use name brand DVDs. Discount store brands are a
"NO" in this hobby. We are "Sports Historians"! My
preference is Taiyo Yuden available at Supermediastore.com.
***Do not write on the sleeve or DVD. Tape a post-it note or
something similar on the sleeve or disc. Each person has their own filing
and labeling system.
***Do not use media mail to send your package. First class or
priority are appropriate and acceptable.
***Add enough packing material to ensure a safe arrival
through the mail.
***If packing with "mailing peanuts", wrap the
discs first so the dust doesn't ruin the media and the receiving person's
machinery!
Following the above advice will ensure many successful trades
and allow you to share in our pleasure.
Thanks for visiting and I look forward to hearing from you!
